The Formtek EDM Data Extractor can extract and map any attributes, including title block attributes, present in DWG or DXF files. With some configuration, the extracted data can be mapped to standard EDM content model properties.

The Formtek EDM Data Extractor is an optional add-on to the Formtek EDM Module. Once installed and configured, the extractor will execute upon the check-in of a DWG or DXF file to Alfresco. The extractor will seek the pre-defined attributes from the file and map them to the metadata fields in the out-of-the-box EDM Module content model or into a customized content model.
