Knowledge Management and Collaboration are two tools that will let organizations achieve increased productivity, enhanced performance and rapid innovation. That’s what 81 percent of senior executives told research company Economist Intelligence Unit in a survey sponsored by EMC.
88 percent of those executives valued organization agility as crucial for their companies to thrive. But only 27 percent felt that their companies were up to the challenge. To achieve agility, the report offered the following suggestions:
- Optimization of core business processes
- Reduction of information silos
- Automation of knowledge sharing
The report quotes Whitney Tidmarsh, marketing executive at EMC: “By more effectively integrating a broad range of enterprise content management solutions – including knowledge management and collaboration systems — into the information infrastructure and the business, key information can be more readily accessible to decision-makers. This improves their overall ability to problem-solve, communicate rapidly with customers, make quick decisions, and convert information into intelligence.”
